Marks and Spencer shoppers love hidden detail on ‘perfect’ transitional jacket

Customers have been raking in compliments while wearing the wardrobe staple that has dozens of five star reviews

When Marks and Spencer launched their green padded bomber jacket, customers went wild for the spring staple, leaving it completely sold out.

But now, the high street retailer has launched it in a ‘gorgeous’ toffee brown shade perfect for the upcoming autumn season.

Part of the M&S Collection, the Padded Bomber Jacket comes in at £59, and will suit casual and smart occasions alike.

It’s been designed with a zip up style and relaxed fit, with padding to lock in heat, making it ideal for trans-seasonal outfits in autumn and spring.

A ribbed neckline, cuffs and hem offer a laid-back look, while ruching down the back and sleeves offer extra attention to detail. The stylish jacket has been praised by shoppers for being ‘on trend’ and getting them ‘lots of compliments’, with a near-perfect rating on the M&S website. But there’s one hidden feature that shoppers love the most.

One said: “Probably a bit too warm for summer but great oversized fit. I got the size 12 so I can wear jumpers underneath but could’ve probably gone for my usual size 10. I love the soft fabric inside the pockets and that there is an inside pocket also. Always jealous of men’s jackets that have those.”

Another added: “Very comfy and looks great. Thicker/warmer than expected. For a good body fit I got two sizes smaller than usual, which means the arms are a little short. Pockets are fleece lined and there's a zipped inside pocket.”

While some said it was ‘too bulky’ to wear in the warmer months, others have said the opposite, with one customer commenting: “A great addition to my wardrobe, toffee colour is gorgeous in "real life" and you do need to downsize as it's a very generous fit. Highly recommend this if you want something that's not too bulky for the upcoming Autumn season.”

Another said: “Finally got my hands on one of these after selling out locally and online. Love the fit of this and the price. Getting compliments already on where to buy this.”
